Völker at the beginning of a new millennium.

At the beginning of the new millennium, the company Völker presents itself with persistently good figures. Since 1991, when the first model 2080 healthcare bed was launched, sales could be continuously improved. By the year 2000, sales increased tenfold to approx. euro 50 m. In the same period, the number of staff grew approx. five times.

Domestic sales with healthcare beds, with a once again increased market share of 60% (2003), have made Völker the market leader in this segment (healthcare beds in total) for the fourth consecutive year.

Only six years after launching hospital beds in the tightly occupied German market, Völker was able to increase its domestic share (2003) to nearly 40% (middle and high-end segment).
The steady growth resulted in new national and international challenges which were responded by a transformation into a public limited company and a structuring of the company into individual product divisions.
By means of subsidiaries and distributors in 23 countries worldwide, the target shall be realized to increase the export share of the total production of healthcare and hospital beds to 50% in the medium term.
