In Detail: The Height Adjustment.

The height adjustment is actually one of the most important Völker innovations: telescopic height adjustment technology that is integrated into each of the bed's four legs. By pressing a button, the lying surface is raised to working height (about 80 cm) - or, of course, can be stopped just as you like, even without the faintest bucking. Because the four lifting jack columns form a closed system holding the frame in a permanently stable plane position, even in case of irregular loads. By simply pressing a button on the so-called caregiver's control box (optional), the bed can be lowered to the normal height of 39.5 cm or (optionally) 35 cm. A synchronization control unit ensures precise retraction with all adjustment processes.

The new 3080 healthcare bed is capable of being raised much faster (within 25 seconds) and at the same time smoother in order to bridge the far greater height difference of well over 40 cm due to the double telescopic height adjustment. This is a vital benefit, because with residents entering a nursing home at an average age of 80 years, the number of intensive nursing cases - and thus attendance effort - is increasing dramatically.

In order to move the bed, the special casters, integrated into the four bed legs, are extended by means of electric motors. Otherwise, the Völker healthcare bed stands solidly on the floor on its four wide feet.
