Safety Floor Mat. Even
if assist rail elements are raised only to the first stage at the headend,
they provide protection against sliding out unconsciously of Völker healthcare
beds. As an additional protection we recommend to use a safety floor mat which is frequently used in the United States. As an accessory for healthcare beds, Völker has developed a safety floor mat which can be attached to the accessory rail during the day (see illustration on the right). During bed rest, the safety floor mat is then laid out in front of the bed (see illustrations below). That way, occupants sliding out of bed are effectively protected by cushioning the impact in case of a sudden fall.  |
