Division II: Volker hospital beds

When we at Volker were determined to also conquer this market with the best of hospital beds - in our opinion - we knew three things for sure: we knew about hospitals' requirements to the ideal hospital bed, we had studied patients' demands and we had managed to realize our vision of the best hospital bed under these conditions. It was the completely new constructive approach which we also realized for the hospital bed by means of our experiences.

The target group for Volker hospital beds and hospital room furniture is primarily patients who more and more expect the comfort of a hotel room in hospitals (all in all 4,000 hospitals in Germany with about 600,000 beds) and an environment which is of benefit to their recovery.
By means of their multifunctional design, however, Volker hospitals beds also serve to provide care. Volker hospital beds convince the medical profession by just this functionality which also complies to the basic requirements of intensive care; and they excel by aesthetic appeal and ambiance. Volker hospital beds need only very little maintenance and by means of their "hygienically smart" design reduce down time within bed provision. That's why they already optimize any investment budget and reduce operating and add-on costs.
The target of this Volker product division is to increase the domestic market share (middle and high-end beds) to 33 percent in the medium term and to realize double-digit growth rates in foreign markets. We believe in this success, because we think there is currently no better hospital bed than the one of Volker - and even less within this cost/benefit ratio.
